About her : Rukaya, lives in a small room with her parents and 4 siblings, and the family is on its way coming out of its hand to mouth existence. Her father is shopkeeper and his monthly income is Rs. 9000 per month. To make ends meet, she enrolled herself for the Cutting & Tailoring course at National Institute for Technical Trainings (NITT), as a result of which, today Rukaya works as a tailor master in a boutique. She earns Rs 5000 per month and helps to support her family. National Institute for Technical Trainings (NITT) has helped me to achieve several benefits associated with social exposure and improvement in the economic scenario of my family. The easy and comfortable relationship that we enjoy with the teachers and the homely atmosphere at the Centre makes it just like another home for me. Being the eldest amongst all her siblings she realizes that she has considerable responsibilities and aspires to do justice to them.
